O Iam Nothe, μετά την κυκλοφορία των single “Lord You Are The Cure” και “Babylon Burn”, παρουσιάζει το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ του “The Grand Design”.

H ζωή του Σπυρέα Σιντ άλλαξε δραματικά τα τελευταία χρόνια, με έναν μάλλον συνηθισμένο αλλά καταιγιστικό τρόπο, οδηγώντας τον στην απόφαση να αφήσει στο παρελθόν τις προηγούμενες μπάντες του (Cyanna και Cyanna Mercury) και να στήσει το απαραίτητο περιβάλλον για να μπορέσει να εξελιχθεί δημιουργικά με αυτονομία. Έτσι, δημιούργησε τον Iam Nothe, ως βασικό χαρακτήρα, και επικεντρώθηκε στην σύνθεση, την ενορχήστρωση και την ηχογράφηση του πρώτου ολοκληρωμένου άλμπουμ του με τίτλο “The Grand Design”, έχοντας ταυτόχρονα αποδεχτεί πλήρως την ματαιότητα που συνοδεύει λίγο πολύ, κάθε καλλιτεχνική προσπάθεια.
Το “Grand Design” εκφράζει το έργο ενός τραγουδιστή/τραγουδοποιού που δανείζεται στοιχεία από τον τρόπο ερμηνείας των Paul Weller, Ian Astbury και Jim Morrison, δεμένο με συνθέσεις που εμπνέονται από τις μπάντες καλλιτεχνών όπως ο Marcus King, οι Altın Gün και ο Nick Cave.
Το άλμπουμ χαρακτηρίζεται από μια διεθνή αντίληψη στον ήχο, αλλά με μια ξεχωριστή αίσθηση εντοπιότητας, και διαθέτει μια ποικιλία διαθέσεων που ρέουν μέσα από τα τραγούδια, μεταφέροντας με ακρίβεια την κινητήρια δύναμη πίσω από αυτά. Στα 8 τραγούδια του συνδυάζονται το αστικό folk, η εξωστρεφής americana και τα επαναλαμβανόμενα ψυχεδελικά μοτίβα της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου με την δυναμική και soulful ερμηνεία του Iam Nothe, αλλά και τις εμπνευσμένες ενορχηστρώσεις που υπογράφει ο ίδιος σε συμπαραγωγή με τον σταθερό του συνεργάτη, Άλεξ Μπόλπαση.
H ηχογράφηση και μίξη του άλμπουμ πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Suono Studio από τον Άλεξ Μπόλπαση, ενώ το mastering έγινε από τον Nick Townsend (Infrasonic Sound, Los Angeles). Οι φωτογραφίες είναι του Γιάννη Στασινόπουλου (Red Light Studio, Athens) και το design του Blvck Disco.

Iam Nothe (Άημ Νόδη) είναι το όνομα του solo project του Σπυρέα Σιντ, frontman των Cyanna Mercury (2014-2017) και Cyanna (1999-2013), δυο από τις πιο ενδιαφέρουσες alternative rock μπάντες των 00’s και 10’s. Ο Σπυρέας ήταν ο στιχουργός και μαζί με τον αδελφό του Νίκο, οι κύριοι συνθέτες των δύο σχημάτων που κυκλοφόρησαν albums, EPs και singles, περιόδευσαν στην Ελλάδα, τα Βαλκάνια, φιλοξενήθηκαν σε διάφορα ευρωπαϊκά φεστιβάλ και εμφανίστηκαν ζωντανά στην ελληνική και τη γαλλική τηλεόραση.
Ο Σπυρέας ξεκίνησε τη σύνθεση και παραγωγή του ντεμπούτου album του ως Iam Nothe το 2018, ένα χρόνο μετά τη διάλυση των Cyanna Mercury. Το “The Grand Design” θα κυκλοφορήσει ψηφιακά το Σεπτέμβριο του 2022, έχοντας ως προπομπούς τα singles “Lord You Are The Cure” (Δεκέμβριος 2021) και “Babylon Burn” που κυκλοφόρησε τον περασμένο Ιούνιο.

Iam Nothe is the solo outfit of Spyreas Sid, frontman of Cyanna Mercury (2014-2017) and Cyanna (1999-2013), two of the most prominent alternative rock bands in Greece in the ’00s and ’10s. Spyreas was the lyricist and with his brother Nick, the main songwriters of both bands and together they released numerous albums, EPs and singles, they toured Greece, the Balkans (Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia) and did a round of European festivals (Switzerland, Germany) and performed live on Greek and French TV. With their second band, Cyanna Mercury, the two brothers were invited to perform in Mezzo Voce for french national TV in 2014, releasing their best work two years later, “Archetypes”, an album that was widely distributed around Europe in vinyl format. Cyanna Mercury disbanded in 2017, and soon after Spyreas started composing and producing his debut solo album as Iam Nothe.
“The Grand Design” is due for release in September 2022. Two singles have already been released, “Lord You Are The Cure” and “Babylon Burn”.
